Matt Whisenant

Matt Whisenant has led several teams of excellent people as a Director of Operations all over the Southeast. He decided to take the skills he has gained to improve the home service experience.  With a background in restaurant leadership, he was looking to get into a business where we could use his customer service and team development-based approach to take care of a new customer base. He heard horror stories of terrible communication, rude employees, no one being available to answer the phone or send a quote, and just a complete let down when trying to find someone to help solve their garage door problems. We focus on our team training and development, and hire for customer service just as much as we do for technical skill.  We take care of our team so that they can take care of you!!

Matt has been married to his wife Candace for over 20 years and has an 14-year-old daughter, Graham. When he is not watching his daughter play volleyball, he loves spending time with friends and family and watching any of his favorite sports teams.   You can occasionally find him on the pickleball court, the disc golf course or trying not to embarrass himself on the traditional golf course.

Matt is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and a joint owner of the Green Bay Packers (one of 537,000). He loves pulling for the Heels, the Packers, any of our many United States National Teams.

Jacob Arnhalt - Operations Manager

I currently reside in Fuquay-Varina, NC, but like so many I am not originally from the area. I grew up on a dairy farm in Minnesota. Since I was 10 I have been working with my hands.  It started with landscaping but quickly turned into doing just about every aspect of building and fixing homes. After graduating, I served in the Marine Corps stationed right here in NC. Following the Marine Corp, I started my career in garage door service and installation. I have always found it to be very satisfying as I get to meet such amazing people and have great conversations while helping them find the best and fastest solution to their garage door needs. When I am not fixing garage doors, I am typically chasing around my 2 amazing daughters. In the rare event I have my own free time, I also love getting out on my Harley for some relaxing wind therapy.

“Jacob brings a great level of care to not only his craftsmanship but also the level of service he provides every homeowner. His internal drive and passion is to find the best solution for each customer and their individual needs.” - Matt Whisenant, Owner

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I reuse the old tracks for my new garage door?
While it might seem tempting to reuse the old tracks, it's best to replace them. Each garage door is designed to work with specific tracks, and altering them can affect your warranty and compromise safety. Replacing the tracks ensures a smooth and safe installation.

What are the standard dimensions for a residential garage door?
The standard size for a single-car garage door is 8 feet wide by 7 feet high. However, garage door sizes can vary, so it's important to have a professional measure your garage door opening to ensure an accurate fit.

Do I need to replace my garage door opener with a new door?
If your garage door opener is in good working condition, you can often reuse it with a new garage door. However, if your opener is old or outdated, it might be beneficial to upgrade to a newer model that meets current safety standards.

Can I reprogram my garage door remote or keypad?
Yes, you can reprogram your garage door remote or keypad by following the instructions in the user manual. Alternatively, our technicians can reprogram it for you and show you how.
